This case was diagnosed by Dr Sk. Rajib at  a  Rural Hospital of Hoogly district of  WB, on 9.7.2015. 40 Yrs, lady was admitted on 7th July  afternoon for Pain Abdomen only.  There was not  any history of bite. Dr Rajib diagnosed it to be a  case of Common Krait snakebite , noting Bilateral Ptosis, 38 hrs after admission. Rajib cured her  by infusion of Antivenom. Dr Sk Rajib was trained by Dr DBM  at the Institute of Health & FW , in the year 2012.

One 65 yrs M patient was brought to Debra RH with suspicion of CVA. On examination  Dr Soren found  application of lime behind the heel of the Pt. There was some tender swelling of that ankle joint. Though there was no history of any bite, Dr Soren tried one dose of Atropine and  Neostigmine , and the Pt responded dramatically . Then a history of insect sting like sensation on that lime painted heel was given by the Pt. Treated for Cobra bite. Pt was cured.


In 2016 , Dr Komarav Soren was working at Debra Rural Hospital of W. Midnapur District of WB. He had diagnosed a 65 yrs male Pt as a Cobra bite case. Pt presented like a Brain stroke.

In 2019, Dr Aniruddha Bhattacharya was a junior doctor of Murshidabad Medical College of WB. Then he had diagnosed this Pt . This Pt was admitted for Pain Abdomen. Dr Aniruddha diagnosed it as acase of C. Krait ( কালাচ)  bite by finding Bilateral Ptosis.

Dr Bhattacharya is now an Orthopaedic surgeon. on 1st July 2025 one 40 yrs F Pt came with complaint  of severe Low back pain. Pain leading to respiratory distress. Dr Bhattacharya again diagnosed it as a case of C Krait bite by finding Bilateral Ptosis.

This 10 yrs boy was cured at Salboni Rural Hospital of W. Midnapur district of WB, in the year 2017. This was a case of Common Krait bite. Came to the rural hospital in a gasping condition. Dr Alam immediately intubated the boy and started Ambu bag ventilation.  There was no Mechanical ventilator in that rural hospital. No ITU bed was vacant in the nearest Midnapur Medical College ( 22 KM away). The boy was cured at Salboni Rural Hospital by ASV infusion and Ambu bag support.
